SAFL is a three-year online distance education program for 8 - 12 grade students who wish to learn Samskritam (aka Sanskrit). As of July 2016, the SAFL program has been accredited as a supplementary education program by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC - http://www.acswasc.org), one of the accrediting agencies in the United States. SAFL courses have also been approved and listed in the NCAA high school course catalog (enter Samskrita Bharati in the High School Name box and click Search button) since November 2018.

SAFL is designed to introduce students to the rich language of Samskritam via conversational Samskritam. As this course is designed solely for high school students, it tailors to their specific learning needs and interests. To further cater to a student’s schedule, this course is conducted via the web. Through multimedia, online materials, instruction and residential camps, opportunities are provided for students to interact in Samskritam. - April 27, 2025 - Early registration discount ends for SAFL2025-26 Class and Camp/Waiver Registration (May close earlier without notice if all seats are filled)

- June 7, 2025 - snAtakotsavaH (स्नातकोत्सवः) - Class of 2025 Graduation ceremony

- June 17, 2025 - 099/103/203 online camp waiver courses open
- June 23 - 29, 2025 - Prajnaa (प्रज्ञा) online shibiram
- July 7 - 13, 2025 - Shraddhaa (श्रद्धा) online shibiram
- July 17, 2025 – Last day to submit 099/103/203 online camp waiver course work
- July 19 - 28, 2025 – Medhaa (मेधा) Shibiram at Aksharam, Girinagar, Bengaluru, India
- August 23/24/25/26/27, 2025 – Mandatory online orientation for all classes (SAMS100/200/300) during respective class times.
- Aug 30 - Sep 3, 2025 – Labor Day Break. No classes (All courses)
- September 6 - 10, 2025 – First day of class (All courses)
SAFL2025-26 registration fees
SAFL2025-26 Class registration fee - $800 per student per year (includes tuition and books).
Students who register by April 27, 2025 will receive a $50 discount.
Please note that there is a separate non-refundable fee of $150/- for SAMS099/SAMS103/SAMS203 course waiver
Prajnaa/Shraddhaa online camp course registration fee is $250.
SAFL2025-26 class registration cancellation policy - refund rates
On or before May 31, 2025 - 100% refund less $50 cancellation charges
Till Aug 28, 2025 - 100% refund less $100 cancellation charge
From Aug 29 - Sep 12, 2025 - 75%
From Sep 13 - Sep 19, 2025 - 50%
From Sep 20 - Sep 26, 2025 - 25%
No refunds thereafter.
SAFL2025-26 class timings
Please find below the timings of the classes offered by the SAFL program. While registering, students may choose the section convenient for them keeping in mind the other extracurricular activities they have to attend outside of school. We generally discourage changing the class sections once selected. Note: All class times are specified in Eastern Time Zone.
