s2s Certificate Course

Samskrita Bharati USA, in partnership with Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University (KKSU), an institution recognized by the Maharashtra government, offers the “सम्भाषणतः शास्त्रपर्यन्तम्” (s2s) online certificate course. This program is designed for adults (18+ years) and was launched in May 2020. The s2s course is specifically crafted to guide students from conversational Samskritam to a deep understanding of the language used in ancient shastras (sacred texts). Upon successful completion, students will receive an official certificate from KKSU.

What is the s2s Certificate Program?

The s2s program is a four-year certificate course that aims to bridge the gap between spoken Samskritam and the complex grammatical and philosophical nuances found in classical Samskritam literature. The curriculum is designed to enhance both your linguistic proficiency and analytical skills, preparing you to comprehend intricate Samskritam texts with confidence.

Course Structure

The s2s program is divided into four main courses:

• S1 (Sambhashanam): Focuses on developing listening and speaking skills, emphasizing conversational Samskritam for everyday use.
• S2 (Bhasha): Introduces fundamental vyakaranam (grammar) concepts, with a focus on improving reading and writing skills.
• S3 (Pragata-Bhasha): Covers advanced vyakaranam concepts related to sahityam (literature), further developing your overall language proficiency.
• S4 (Sahityam / Shastram): Explores additional vyakaranam concepts and delves into excerpts from sahityam (literature) or Nyaya shastras, providing a deeper understanding of classical texts.

An additional course, P1 (Pragata-Sambhashanam), is also available for those seeking advanced-level speaking practice.
