Samskritam Knowledge Assessment System
Samskrita Bharati utilizes a well-established and systematic approach to assess student knowledge. Our core process is designed to ensure a thorough evaluation:
- Syllabus: We start by laying out a clear, structured curriculum.
- Study Materials: We provide educational content that directly follows and supports the syllabus.
- Exams: We conduct formal exams to test students based on the prescribed study materials and curriculum.
You can prepare for these exams by following our internal Curriculum Tracks or by studying through external sources.
Samskritam Exam Tracks
We offer three distinct assessment tracks, tailored to various learning environments and student goals.
1. Pallavam (पल्लवम्) Track: Basic Skills Assessment
This fundamental assessment is primarily designed for students residing outside India, often learning in a distance or unique environment.
- Focus: Core assessment of basic script recognition, pronunciation, reading, and writing skills.
- Requirement: This is a foundational exam that requires a high 95% pass mark.
2. Pravesha (प्रवेशः) Track: Systematic Distance Learning
This track provides four systematic levels for students engaged in distance learning. The exams test your knowledge of Samskritam, though the instruction medium may be English or select Indian languages.
- Basis: Exams are strictly based on the corresponding prescribed textbook for each level.
- Levels:
- praveśaḥ (प्रवेशः) [Can be taken complete in one part or in two parts]
- paricayaḥ (परिचयः) [Can be taken complete in one part or in two parts]
- śikṣā (शिक्षा)
- kovidaḥ (कोविदः)
3. Bhasha-Pravesha (भाषा-प्रवेशः) Track: Guided Classroom Study
This line uses textbooks published by Samskrita Bharati intended for classroom study, guided by a teacher, and delivered using Samskritam as the medium of instruction.
- Accessibility: This track is open to anyone who wishes to be tested at a specific level, regardless of where or how they acquired their learning.
- Levels:
- bhāṣā-praveśaḥ 1 (भाषा-प्रवेशः १) [or gītā-sopānam 1 (गीता-सोपानम् १)]
- bhāṣā-praveśaḥ 2 (भाषा-प्रवेशः २) [or gītā-sopānam 2 (गीता-सोपानम् २)]
