Samskritam Video Competition 2020
Samskrita Bharati USA held its inaugural Samskritam Video Competition from April 20 to June 30, 2020, receiving over 500 registrations and judging more than 300 submissions from participants across ten countries. A panel of judges from the US, Canada, UK, and India evaluated the videos through five rounds, culminating in top winners in various categories—short films, music videos, educational, informational, and jokes—alongside grand prizes awarded to Shriji Sharma and Ramya Mangala Lakshmi from India. The competition celebrated participants’ dedication to Sanskrit and generated significant engagement and publicity, reinforcing Samskritam’s growing presence in the visual arts.
Pāka-Dinam spardhA
Traditionally, recitation has formed an integral part of Samskritam learning. To encourage this habit, we conduct recitation competitions regularly. The competitions may be categorized into shloka spardhA (श्लोकस्पर्धा) or kaNTha-pATha-spardhA (कण्ठपाठस्पर्धा).
